reacquisition of US Citizenship

Hello,

I'm new to this forum....I have a question about my wife....She was recently interviewed in Canada US consulate for the IR-1 petition I filed for her....They found out that her biological father is an American and she is entitled to regain back her US Citizenship but they have to verify that her father had lived in the US for 10years. My wife told the officer that she'll just opt to have the immigrant visa which they'll send in about two weeks, because it might take a while for USCIS to do the verification for her reacquistion of her US citizenship.

My question is..How can we follow up the reacquisition of her US citizenship once she's here in the US? Please let me know.

Obtain proof that her father lived in the US for the requisite period of time and then submit it in the context of a US passport application for her.
