N600K or what?

hello to everybody...
I have a question. I'm US Citizen, borned in 1964 and lived in Ny till 1972. I have proof of that because I have a permanent record of immunizations and tests. Then I went to italy and I travel often to US. I'm also resident in Miami since March 2007.
I've tried to apply in Naples for give US Citizenship and US Passport to my son but they told me that i don't have 2 years of residence after my 14 years old and before the born of my son (1998). So they suggest me to file a N600K to USCIS using my mother (son's grandmother, naturalized US Citizen, with certification). In Miami they told me that I cannot file that form but I must file an I130 application. I'm getting crazy. Can you please help me? What I must do? What documents I need? Thank you

p.s. my son has the same last name of me and my mother. I'm not married with the mother, but is my legal and biological son. I have documents about it.
