when to file n400

hello everyone

I have been a LPR since Augu 20 2003 (IR1)

I have travelled short business trips outside the US about 15 (each trips for less than 2 weeks)

When should I file my N400 to become US Citizen? I was told 6 months before my 5 year residency

What you were told is wrong.
You can file up to 90 days before fulfilling the 5-year continuous residency requirement, provided that all the other requirements are fulfilled.
If you are married to a US citizen (which, with the IR1 classification you probably are), the continuous residency requirement is 3 years, and you can file 90 days before that. SO, you would be well beyond that...
