I had applied for my Citizenship N-400 back on March of 2007 here in South Florida, I passed my Citizenship Interview back on Feb 04 of this year in the Central Fla. Field Office, and my file was transfered back down here to the South Florida Field Office which I had discovered back on April 08 of this year that it was transfered on accident to the National Archive Center in St. Louis, Missouri, and was sent back to the South Florida Field Office. As of today, after having made numerous inquries both in person and via telephone to the National Customer Center, I am still waiting for my final approval, which has been more than 120 days since the Interview. The reason given was that they need to reschedule me for an "UPDATE" session to make sure my employment and residence information is up to date which I had informed them that no changes has been made since the Interview. Even though I am currently employed in a civilian capacity with a local government agency, without the Citizenship, I can't hold any SWORN position within the government agency here in the State of Florida, which had caused me to lose more than 6 job opportunities with various agencies in the area, and who knows how many more job opportunities. I had filed my parents' paperwork a month after mine and they were sworn in back on May of this year.
I have asked for the help of my local Congressman and they are no help. I
I have contributed a lot to this country in the volunteer/auxiliary capacity with the Air Force, and several local emergency services units in the past, still am actually... but yet USCIS will not recognize my efforts and give me what I deserve...so I can continue to serve the community in a capacity which to me is more meaningful.
Any thoughts??
Is there anything that I can do to have my case expedited? I feel that due to the errors on the part of the USCIS, I have met the criteria for expedite.
