Thread: Old snake oil in new bottle?

Default Old snake oil in new bottle?

My wife will be eligible to apply for citizenship in just over a year. It took me 11 months to become a citizen when I applied in 2005, when they were promising 6-month wait times. Now I see that the wait times are even worse!

I've read about CIS promises to make it better, but is it really going to be that way or simply "business as usual"?

I like your characterization. It really is old snake oil in a new bottle. Congress has tried everything to get them to do their job, short of picking one person out of ten to be executed if they don't meet reasonable timetables. Perhaps they should try that?
