Default Missing interview letter- PLEASE HELP

I had applied for US citizenship in Jan 2008 and my FP was done in Feb, 2008. Last week, when I called up the National Customer Service no. of USCIS to check the status of my case, I found out that the interview letter was sent to me on April 20, 2008 and the interview date is in the midde of June at Newark, NJ.

However, I havent yet received the interview letter by mail and its more than 14 days now. The customer service agent on the phone gave me the details of my interview i.e. place, time, day of interview and asked me to appear at the interview with an ID . But the agent couldnt guarantee that I'll be allowed to appear for the interview without any hassle. The agent said that there's no way that they will send me another interview letter. I also checked with my local post office and they couldnt track the missing interview letter because it was not sent as a certified mail.

Under this circumstance, can somebody please respond and let me know if you have ever faced a situation like this where you know the details of your interview but do not have the letter. Will I be allowed to appear for the interview without the interview letter?

    All suggestions are appreciated.

First, call your Congressman and complain about the CIS refusing to re-send the letter. That's nonsense. Show up for the interview and complain loudly if they don't let you in.
