    Hi Ron,

I'm on my 7th year of H1b. I just renewed my H1 for 3 years until 2018 with my I-140 from my current company.
If I switch jobs now, when the new company files my H1 transfer, would I still be approved for H1B until 2018, by USCIS??

Hypothetically, if a H-1B visa holder switches employers and obtains a longer date on the petition and extension of stay filed by the second employer, his stay will be governed by the longer date. This will still be the case even if the H-1B visa holder was admitted into the U.S. under the first petition (filed by the 1st employer) while the extension of stay was still pending.
