    Hello,

My H1-B will expire in Sept 2017. My I-485 is pending since 2012. I have EAD but would like to extend H1-B. Employer will apply next month for H1-B Extension.

Since Premium processing is suspended and my H1-B extension will take beyond Sept 2017 to be processed, I suppose the 240 day rule will apply in my case.

    I have two questions:
    1) Is there a USCIS link where the 240 day rule is spelled out?
    2) What should the I-9 say for the work authorization after Sept 2017 and until a decision is made?

    Thank you!

It almost appears that the attorneys at Murthy saw your question yesterday and posted that update today

Sorry, it seems like my question didn't post in full.

Could someone please answer my question:

If an initial H-1B petition is approved for 1.5 years, can it later be extended for the remaining 4.5 years? Or it can only be extended for a 3 years period?

H1b is only extended to a max of 3 years at a time.
