    Ron,

Quick question: i have wondered about this several times but never found proper answers around this.

We applied PERM in Nov 2007 and got approval in two weeks( i know YAY!) under EB2( masters from US University).

Unfortunately, in 2010, we got our 140 rejected. We have no idea why, no reason was given as usual. we appealed and waitied for almost 2 years and finally gave up and withdrew and reaplied 140 and it got approved in less than 5 months( same employer, same PERM). But, why is now my priority date in 2011 and not 2007.

Any light on this is appreciated.

    Thanks

Try re-filing the old PERM with a new I-140.

If they approve an I-140 based on your old PERM, yes you will get the old priority date.
