Yes, this thread is about President's Options for Administrative Action. Let's keep it that way. Yesterday, some people got worked up too much about nothing.

The above letter could also mean that the Republicans are pretty sure that the court will allow DAPA and extended DACA to move ahead after the April 17th hearing. I am a little surprised that USCIS has still not updated the I-765 forms on their website and no word on the H4 EAD FAQs too. I am not even contemplating of the other admin fixes.

Same here.. wondering is there any timeframe they should post the FAQ and complete details before the H4EAD rule becomes effective (5/26)

That letter reminds me of the saying that no matter how many times sheep vote for mandatory vegetarianism, it doesn't really matter unless the wolves agree.

Problem is that there are simply too many types of conservatives.

    a. A fiscal conservative, social liberal as libertarians are (more skilled immigration and also dome pathway to citizenship for "some" undocumented )
    b. A true conservative by all means (no immigration)
c.A fiscal conservative and anti-liberal but more temp workers in high skilled
d.A Fiscal and Social Conservative but wants Low Skilled Labor and no High Skilled Workers

I wouldn't classify "true conservatives" as anti-immigration. They are anti-illegal immigration, but many that I know are very open minded and forward thinking as far as legal immigration is concerned. Orin Hatch is a good example of this type of true conservative.

You can add one more to that list
    e. A hypocrite conservative who buys cheap foreign made stuff but wants wages to be high in the US of A.

He is saying that the WH is currently in discussion with DOS and other agencies to decide if the President indeed has the power to authorize recapture previously unused GCs.

"When President Obama announced his executive action giving unauthorized immigrants protection from deportation in November of 2014, the White House also announced that it would work with agencies to explore how to improve the visa process for legal immigration, including on the issue of recapture. The Administration, in consultation with State and the Department of Homeland Security, may arrive at the conclusion that the President has authority to enact recapture policy on his own, given congressional intent in previous legislation and precedent for the Executive Branch utilizing similar powers in the past."

To me it appears that the best we can expect is re-capture
