They did and with the huge SNP victory in this election, I've heard a lot of speculation that this is the end of the union.

I think that is conspiracy theory. Whether country cap is there or not Indians will get green card some time and somehow. Now tell me how many Indians are returning to India because of waiting time? I think less than 5%. The waiting time will max out at 20 to 25 years as Kids can process GC at 21 years and get immediately. So doing or not doing fix will not have an impact what you are thinking.

10 years ago, the Scottish Independence Movement garnered 35% and last year they got 45 %. I would say in 10 years they would be Independent.

Btw, Ron, I hope you are ardently Pro-Scotland like most of us here.

I don't think they get into all the specifics.

As much as I would love to see the Scottish stick it to the English, I hate the idea of having to get another visa to visit Edinburgh. Already Uk has a separate visa than Europe (shengen). Or i hope they still have a single visa even after they separate.

I don't think you get to vote if you are there on a visitor visa.

By the way, one can get permanent residency (GC) in Uk if you have been there on work permit for 5 years. And it does not need employer sponsorship i believe.

Nope, still need to get visa. They are generous with the visas though. They hand out 5 year workpermits straight out, and then permanent residency if you want.

You should have been on this forum when HR3012 was getting ready to be passed in the Senate. This forum got hijacked by guys from smaller countries who where hurling racist abuses.

I won't. I consider myself lucky to be born and raised in India versus Mexico, Philippines and a lot of other countries.
