    Hi,

I converted my H4 visa to F1, but when I traveled to the US, they stamped my passport with H4 and also in I94 I can see H4 instead of F1. Now to convert it back to F1, will I have to travel outside the US and re-enter on the F1 visa?

Why wasn't your H4 visa "cancelled without prejudice" ?

Go to your local CBP office and ask them to fix it.

Not sure why it was canceled. After multiple calls and extremely rude conversations, I believe my only option is to leave the US and re-enter on F1.
I am planning to travel to St. Lucia, but someone mentioned that you cannot travel to the Caribbean or to Mexico to do this. Is that true? Or will just leaving and going to any country work?
