Representatives Steve King and Louie Gohmert, together with Senator Charles Grassley, have introduced new legislation that will create labor camps for illegal aliens. Responding to the criticism that it will be impossible to deport all of the estimated eleven million illegals residing in the United States, they are proposing the creation of labor camps where illegals can be sent instead. The labor camps will not only provide self-funding, but also generate surplus revenue that will be used to employ special services personnel to round up and transport illegals to the camps. The legislation, known as the “Permanent solution to the problem of illegal aliens residing in the United States act of 2014” has been introduced in both the House and Senate. With only a few legislative days left in this Congress, the sponsors say that they will reintroduce it immediately when the new Congress convenes next month. The legislation is expected to have more than 100 co-sponsors in the House and more than thirty in the Senate.
