This is from AILA's meeting with him on 4/16/2015:

EB-2 India. After advancing 16 months in March 2015, and eight months in April, EB-2 India will advance another 7+ months in May, to April 15, 2008. As cautioned last month, members should not expect that this category will continue to advance at this pace beyond July, and should expect it to slow or stop in August and/or September.

I read that to mean that advances will slow down considerably and then stop.

    Ron,
EB2I is already there in April 15 2008 with the may visa bulletin. So there is nothing specific about June visa bulletin , which is expected in May second week, right?

Did you read or get any info on how they are going to handle retrogression? Are they going to keep it fixed and move slowly or are they going to move it way back and move it forward in second quarter?

This is such a gloomy outlook to say the least. Dates moved till mid 2009 last year, whats the point of the EO/modernization announcements if it moves the same this year? The only difference was that the dates started moving a little earlier than usual. This is just a big slap on the already exhausted legal binding immigrants.

The strange part is the dates moved to 2009 last year, it doesnt make sense at all to stop there again... this is just crazy... all the hype on the EO has no result atleast doesnt look like even if its close.

the date move according to estimated demand and inventory, they wont push dates ahead a lot with expectation of EO , just in case that gets stalled and they end up in a mess.. if there is a fix that helps the backlog... they can issue the revised VB anytime..

    Folks,

It is a simple matter of very limited supply vs. huge demand. Unless something is done to fix the limited supply in some way (recapture, not counting dependents, etc., etc.), the situation cannot be expected to change.

    Hi Ron,

For EB3 India the only hope seems to be that of rest of the world and mexico becoming current. Why is Oppenhiem saying that those would not be current in the near future, considering that they are already on Jan 2015? Is a huge retrogression expected?
