    Hi,
My employer closed my role on October 31st 2016 and my employment was terminated after only 1 month on an H1B visa. I therefore did not have my passport stamped. I since then left the US and briefly came back on a tourist visa but I am wondering what do I need to get my visa stamped in my home country as I am looking for a new job.

I know if I had my passport stamped I could start working for a new employer as soon as my petition has been filed and I have a receipt number. Will I be able to do so in this case or will it be an issue to get my passport stamped before my new petition is approved? Thanks a lot for your help.
