    Hello,

My new employer has applied for a H1 COE petition with USCIS. I am currently working on valid H1 B. My petition got approved last week (I check with the petition number over the USCIS case status link and it shows approved). I am not sure whether my attorney got the hard copy of the approval notice, he did receive the email of approval.

I have resigned from my current employer this week (on Monday) and my last day is Friday. Now my new employer is working to get my joining done on coming Monday however it may get delayed by a week.

Is it safe if I have a break of 1 week in between or I would be considered out of Status. Also is it legal now for me to join new employer without getting the hard copy of approved I797 ?

Your thoughts and suggestions would be highly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Raj Vishu
