    Hi Ron,

I am a new member to your site and want to seek your advise about my situation. My wife held an EAD when she was on L-2. That was a while back, later I moved to H1 and now we do not have any info about that EAD. I see in I-765 we need to furnish details about any prior EAD. I am not sure what should I do. Could you please advise? Should I leave the EAD section blank in the application?

    Regards.

It's better not to leave the EAD section blank. Select " Yes " & explain them about your wife's EAD when she was on L-2. If she ever held an " EAD " status before USCIS will most likely have her information in their records. This is just my opinion. I'm sure Ron will have a better suggestion.

Sure I would do so! I will put the details and will explain the situation as I think in my situation being honest would be the best option. Thanks for your advise msr!!

You're welcome. Being honest is always good. It's always better to state the facts. Good Luck.

    Hi Ron,
I have the question about I-94 attached on I-797 and also below requirement on prior EAD.
My wife held L2 EAD a while back and I am afraid I don't have a copy of it. Please let me know how i can address this.

"A copy of your last EAD (front and back). If no prior
EAD has been issued, you must submit a copy of a
government-issued identity document, such as a
passport showing your picture, name, and date of
birth; a birth certificate with photo ID; a visa issued
by a foreign consulate; or a national ID document
with photo and/or fingerprint. The identity document
photocopy must clearly show the facial features of
the applicant and the biographical information. If
you are filing under the (c)(33) category, additional
documentation beyond what you submit under
    "

Give them as much detail as possible and explain that you no longer have it.

I was lucky enough to find a copy of the EAD card so included a copy of the same in my package. I hope they will not ask for the original later.
