Got Rfe On 485 Even After I Submitted My Birth Certificate

    Submit the following evidence to verify the birth and parentage of XXXXXXXXX by June 5th:

    A photocopy of a birth certificate issued by
    the Local Registrar if the person named
    above was born in a city, or

    A photocopy of birth certificate issued by
    the Additional District Registrar’s Office
    if the person named above was born in a
    village.

    If the person name above has completed grade
    10 or higher, please also submit a photocopy
    of their Education Board Certificate.

    Does USCIS not get it? Who in their right minds would fake a birth certificate of India for EB categories!

    People routinely fake birth records so that they can file petitions for "siblings."

    Yup - thanks! I had mentioned "EB categories" in my reply for this reason! But, yes - the concerned person might not belong to EB category.

    My 10 th grade education certificate does not have my both parents name.and it doe not have my DOB.
    My original BC does not have my full name ,is that the reason for RFE ?

    Ya, so it makes a lot of sense for USCIS to quibble about your Birth Certificate assuming your country of birth is India! [being sarcastic here]

    Sorry - finally realized what Ron was saying. He meant that you can falsify your Birth Certificate - to be able to file for your "supposed" sibling. Hence, your birth certificate needs to be scrutinized too - even though you are from India!
