EB-5 Visa & Real Estate

    For the purpose of an EB-5 visa, would purchasing real estate be considered a 'passive investment' if one's intention when purchasing the properties was to generate income by commercially leasing to business owners?

    If you invest the required amount (either $500,000 or $1,000,000 - depending upon the area), you must also employ ten U.S. workers full time at the end of the initial two year startup period.
