We are receiving a large volume of telephone calls from people seeking consultations. Please understand that we do not do consultations. If you are interested in talking to us about representing you, we are happy to talk. We never charge for talking to people about possible representation, just as we never charge our clients for calling us for any reason after we begin representing them.

We do not, however, do consultations. There is a practical reason for this. It is flatly impossible to gather all of the facts necessary to provide competent advice in the course of a brief telephone exchange. While the client may feel that he or she has disclosed all relevant facts, most often this is not the case. There is usually some small thing, overlooked by the client, that is of vital importance. Without knowledge of all of the facts, we feel that it is irresponsible to charge people a fee for talking to them for a few minutes and then offer advice.

So, if you are looking to hire a lawyer to represent you on an ongoing basis, please feel free to call so that we can talk about what our firm can do to help you. If you just want to ask a question, please do not call but rather post it in the forum instead.
