I recently moved from Employer A to Employer B on H1B. My PD APR 2010, filed I-485 in APR 2012. Can I file AC21 (Supplement J) eventhough SOC Codes are little different (SOC 15-1131 (employerA) SOC 15-1121 (employerB))? Job Desc is different though.

    Thanks

SOC codes can be different. List the job duties and compare how many of those are common. I am no lawyer, but I feel that if 2/3 duties are similar you should be fine.

I looked up the codes: 1131: Computer Programmer vs 1121: Computer Systems Analyst. That is not an issue at all.

But you must list the job duties and compare the two. Your lawyer can make the case that they are similar.

If you don't have a lawyer, call Ron Gotcher: he is the best!

    Thanks Leo!

We have filed AC21 last week, tried to match some Job description. Fingers Crossed.
