Visa Interview at New Delhi Embassy

I attended Visa Interview at Delhi Embassy on June 10th and i was told by VO that my visa is approved and will get passport . After couple of hours i got a call stating that my Visa is approved but it will take 2-3 weeks to process my passport ..
2nd week i sent out email inquiry to Embassy and got the reply back that my application is pending under 221G ..
Today 4th Week Started ..Dont know what to do ?

I wish I could say I am shocked to hear something like that, but these days, nothing seems shocking when it comes to visa officers. I am not sure why you are getting mixed signals from them, but if they issued a 221(g), they are doing some sort of administrative review of your petition. This may include calling the end-client or your employer to verify information. You should alert your employer and client manager that either the State Department or the KCC may try to contact them about your case. If it gets too bad, you can have your employer contact their congressmen to see if they can assist, but I will warn you that getting them involved has had mixed results.

The issue is they have not asked for any documents till now and they have not even contacted my employed..During Interview VO just asked for my 797

Suggest that your employer complain to his congressman. Make sure he provides all of the facts.

Well I got the response back from embassy with the Case Number and now it shows as under processing ..I dont know under which category my case falls into pink/yellow/green slip ..

IS it a possiblity my visa can also get rejected

Anything is possible, but if they haven't denied your visa at this point, it is likely that they really are just doing a background check.

Ron ,

A little update for u ..I was give case number 2011XXX-XXX-X when i wrote you last time and i was able to track my status till today morning but now when i go to check my status its says case not found ..As per the guidelines , NEw Delhi embassy updates case number every tuesday and friday ..Even i was able to track my status on Tuesday also but not today ..Do i think that there is some update on my case ..I read some forums and there have been cases where the user was not able to track the status one day and with in 2-3 days they got their passport with Visa Stamp..
Is it positive news ?
Also , I spoke to my employer and they said to wait till end of next week before we contact the local senator.

I think that you have to either wait for the Embassy to give you some news, or have your employer's senator make an inquiry.

I was just checking on the whether there is any post decision activity on my H1B approval which was approved in Mar and for me and my wife there is none but for my daughter it shows following

What should i make with the following
