Has anyone else had this happen? if yes, have you received delivery confirmation from USPS after the forwarding. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated thanks. What are my options now?

College address vs Home address

We are sending the N-400 applications for myself and my 2 children and are using our Florida address as our Home permanent address (this is what my US citizen husband says is the correct way to do it), although my son is in Colorado in college and my daughter in Alabama, also in college. This is because they might be changing their dorm/apartment addresses at the end of the semester in December, and that might complicate the process.

So I guess I have a couple of questions:

1. Is there any way I can put a note in the application for them to get fingerprinted in their respective College States and then get the interview appointments in Florida?
Otherwise I will have to fly them for both appointments.

2. If the note is not possible or if that might complicate things, do we get the appointment notices with enough time so I can make flight arrangements for them? I tend to think this is probably the best way...

Thanks for helping...

I'm filing DS-11 for first time passport. I'm claiming citizenship through parent. I'm attaching my birth certificate (abroad, translated into english and notarized,) and my father's certificate of citizenship. However, his certificate of citizenship is a copy, not the original document. He's abroad right now and the Post Office refused to accept my DS-11 because his certificate of citizenship is a copy. They want the original document which he lost.

What should I do? My father couldn't retrieve the original and he's abroad with his passport.

I also think about an alternative. On DS-11 there's an option as "file search." which is submitting a DS-11 without proof of citizenship. Should I choose this option at this time and just omit my father's certificate of citizenship? I don't mind spending $150 on this as long as it can get things done.
