    Default Response from CAO

    Ron,
I think I shouldn't even ask you to waste your energy in interpreting the gibberish that USCIS writes in their communication with its customers.

I received following response from Customer Assistance Office in response to letter sent to Ombudsman's office. Ombudsman 's a joke!!!!
    "
...We have assigned it case # DDDDDD.

We regret the length of time it has taken to process your form I-485 application. A research??? of our records reflects that the processing of this case has been delayed because the required USCIS review is still in process. Until this required review is completed, we cannot move forward on the case.

Please understand that the review is part of the process in adjudicating cases of similar nature. While an exact date for completion of the review cannot be given at this time, we will make every effort to make a decision on your case as soon as the review is completed.

    Sincerely,
    Acting Supervisor,
    Customer Assistance Office"

Translation: :mad:It's like when asked to return the borrowed money, the deadbeat said I don't know when I will have the money but rest assured when I do, I will make every effort to pay you!!

The former Ombudsman did a superior job, given the extremely limited resources he was allocated. He was a genuine advocate for the victims of the CIS. He was also roundly hated by CIS personnel - which I consider a badge of honor.

The new Ombudsman is a guy who spent his career defending the CIS against litigation brought by victims. He is nothing but a mouthpiece for the CIS.
