Thread: Response to Service Request opened on phone

Default Response to Service Request opened on phone

This was in response to an SR that was opened by CSR(Customer Service Representative) on the phone on Feb. 05 and response was dated Feb 19.

This time it didn't say that security/background check is pending rather like the first SR I opened before the memo in 2007. It says the this case is actively being processed but the additional review has caused longer processing time. If I don't receive decision or other notice of action within six months, call back etc.

Could it be actually going under extended review(whatever that means)?

Has anyone else received something similar?

Any responses and feedback will be appreciated.

may be they are just lying. Now no more excuses to blame FBI name check. So come up with other execuses, so that their processing times will look rosy.

I have been saying for years that the FBI name check answer is an excuse and nothing more. I very seriously doubt that many cases have been held up due to missing FBI name check results. Now, faced with an onslaught of litigation and consequent judicial investigation, they have backed off.

As long as they continue to maintain that they are processing all cases within six months, hold them to it and sue them when your case is pending longer than that.
